A Pre-Release Campaign allows you to submit an unreleased song to playlist curators before your official release date.

Playlist curators will review your track up to 14 days before release. If they choose to support your song, they will add it to their playlist within 48 hours of your music going live on Spotify.

This approach maximizes your release day impact when it has the most influence on the Spotify algorithm.

How are Pre-Release Campaigns different from a Standard Campaign?

Standard campaigns:

  • Your song is sent to curators after it goes live on Spotify.

  • Potential playlist adds will happen as curators review your track over the next 1-2 weeks.

Pre-Release Campaigns:

  • Your song is sent to curators before being released on Spotify

  • Curators review the song up to 14 days before release

  • You secure potential playlist commitments before your release date, and placements go live within the first 48 hours after release.

How do I choose a Pre-Release Campaign?

During your campaign setup, if your song is not released yet, you will have the option to select a "Pre-Release Launch".

When should I start my Pre-Release Campaign?

We recommend starting your Pre-Release Campaign 14 days before your scheduled release date.

This gives curators enough time to review your music and make decisions while still keeping your track fresh in their minds when it releases.

Does my music need to have a scheduled release date?

Yes. You must have a scheduled release date to run a Pre-Release Campaign

How do curators listen to my unreleased music?

Upload your MP3, ensuring it's the final mastered version of the song. We provide a secure streaming link to curators that prevents downloading or sharing.

Your music remains protected while still allowing curators to evaluate it properly.
